Stucco relies on a firm bond with the wall behind. Once moisture works in, that bond weakens. Freeze-thaw winters then widen every crack, and a small defect can become a large loose section in a single season.
How We Repair Stucco
We begin by tapping and inspecting the wall to map every hollow or loose area, and we check for signs of water sitting behind the surface. Finding the source of the moisture is as important as fixing the finish.
Damaged stucco is cut back to solid, well-bonded material. Edges are squared off and prepared so the new work keys into the old, rather than sitting on top of it as a thin skim.
New material is built up in coats and finished to match the surrounding texture. Where the wall is painted or coloured, we aim to blend the repair so it reads as part of the original surface.
Full Refinishing
Sometimes cracks and hollow areas cover so much of a wall that patching would leave it looking like a quilt. In that case, a full refinish is the better option, giving the elevation a single, consistent surface again.

Stucco Versus Parging
Stucco is the finish on the main walls of a house. Parging is a different cement coat applied to the exposed foundation below. If the problem sits at ground level on the foundation, our parging service is the right fit.
Where stucco damage is caused by moving or failing brick or block behind it, the masonry must be dealt with first. We handle that under masonry repairs, and walls needing fuller rebuilding are covered by brick and masonry walls.
