Interior Drainage Systems
When ground water keeps pushing in at the base of the walls, an interior drainage system catches it before it spreads across the floor. Water is collected along the perimeter and carried to a single point where it can be removed from the house.
Because the system sits inside the footprint of the house, it deals with water that has already reached the wall, whatever route it took to get there.
This approach is often chosen where digging outside is impractical, for example alongside a neighbouring property or under a deck or extension.
Foundation Crack Repair
Cracks in poured concrete or block walls are one of the most common ways water enters a basement. A single crack can leak steadily every time the ground is saturated.
We repair these from inside, sealing the crack along its length so it no longer acts as an entry point. If cracks are wide, spreading or paired with sloping floors, we will check for settlement, which may point towards foundation underpinning.

Collected water has to go somewhere. A sump pump sits in a pit at the lowest point of the basement and pumps water up and away from the foundation once it reaches a set level.
Sump pumps pair naturally with interior drainage, and they are also worth considering in homes that take on water during heavy storms or a rapid spring melt.
Dehumidification
Not every damp basement has running water. Some simply hold too much moisture in the air, leading to condensation on cold walls, musty smells and mould on stored items.
A dedicated dehumidification system keeps humidity under control, making the space healthier and more usable. It also helps protect any finished areas once leaks have been dealt with.
